Linda has developed publications and resource tools for the sector and provided training and facilitation to hundreds of non-profit organization using these tools. They include: Benchmarks of Excellence for the Voluntary Sector; Benchmarks of Excellence for Community Support Organizations; A Framework for Success for Not-for-Profit Federations; Standards of Success and Audit of Volunteer Management Practice; An Inclusive School Culture: Indicators of Success; Engaging People in Building an Inclusive Community; Building Organizational Capacity in National Health Charities; Power of Persuasion: Developing a Strategic Communication Campaign; and Sustainability Planning. As President and CEO of IMAGINE Canada (Canadian Centre for Philanthropy), Linda was responsible for a significant restructuring that lead to the organization being a leading voice in research and advocacy for the sector. She was also Director of the IMAGINE national program to encourage corporate and individual giving and volunteering. Linda has a Master’s degree in communication from Boston University. She has delivered workshops across Canada, and in the U.S.A and Europe. |
As President of VISION Management Services, Ruth conducts workshops on a variety of topics for executive directors, senior management teams and board members. Ruth's facilitation skills create a highly stimulating learning environment. Ruth has a BA in Psychology from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Toronto. Prior to establishing VISION Management Services Ruth worked in the social services field for 10 years. Her understanding of the public and non-profit sectors is based in part on these experiences, combined with her experience serving on a variety of non-profit Boards. Ruth is an Adjunct Faculty Member at York University - Schulich School of Business, Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program. Ruth is a recognized leader in governance and she teaches a course on non-profit governance in the MBA program. She has published a number of articles on governance, particularly in the non-profit sector. |
